A non-fiction “trade” book with black-and-white photographs, currently marketed to school librarians. Intended for children 9-13 years old, this wonderfully well-written and illustrated book follows a Montana family on several hunting trips reflecting responsible, safe, and ethical hunting practices. The book shows the members of a caring family preparing to hunt by target practicing, training their dogs, and reloading shotgun shells. This one should be on the bookshelf of every child who has family members who hunt.  |
